Error 1: Open Coil
The coil does not energize: the contactor will not close.

Error 2: Shorted Coil
Shorted coil: overcurrent or a blown fuse.

Error 3: Welded Contacts (Stuck Closed)
Welded contacts: the load stays on after control is off.

Error 4: Open Contacts (Won't Close)
Open contacts: control is present but the load never comes on.

Voltage drop across contacts: the motor struggles.
